Every Friday:El 27 de Febrero
El 27 has for twenty years been the regular Friday performance venue of Edilio Paredes and his group. One of the originators of bachata, Edilio energizes patrons with mixed sets of old school bachatas, guitar merengues, and modern covers. Having recently adopted the accordion as a second instrument, Edilio also throws in a bit of merengue tipico for variety.
The crowd is friendly and dancing is encouraged. Dinner is served until late at night but it's basic fare. For a change up Manolette's Friday night Merengue Tipico party is only a block away.
