palm tree inside and out. The atmosphere is friendly and inviting. The
dance floor is small, but the sound system is great, the food is good and
there is plenty of seating.

One of the greatest places to experience top Dominican groups in
Brooklyn, Monte Mar combines the "down-home" feel of a neighborhood
restaurant with the light and sound production of a larger club. With a
capacity of roughly 200 people and a dance floor directly in front of the
low stage, the experience is intimate. One can almost be guaranteed
that the artists will actually perform, which is not always the case at
some other venues.
